Weird gold wood grain fill finish

Not sure what to make of this one. I kind of like the look. It is a mahogany where gold paint was used as the grain filler on a black stain. It is kind of like the white filling on some of the Collings dog hair type finishes, but gold. I can't decide if I like it or hate it. Whaddayouthinkaboutit?

Looks fabulous. This kind of thinking should be going out on the affordable guitars instead of being restricted to custom shop models.

The finish is great. Everything else is awful.

I’ll let the gold hardware go, but those gold pickgaurd screws are terrible. Why would you highlight a pickgaurd screw? The two between the pups are really off putting. Almost as bad as the giant gold custom shop badge. I can any assume that peels of and is not permanent. What kind of doucher wants that thing stuck to their guitar?

I forgot. The white plies in the pickgaurd are bad too. There is so much going on around that pickgaurd, it completely draws your eye away from the finish. The finish is the highlight of the guitar. The other junk ruins it.
