I did a lot of nothing.
More accurately, I poked at a bunch of small things and got nothing complete.
Sunday mid-afternoon, I gave up and went back to bed. Read for a bit and then put the TV on.
I watched a few episodes of Jack Ryan, trying to catch up on the series. Fell asleep.
Watched The Contractor. What a crap movie.
Watched Castles In The Sky and really enjoyed it.
Then, watched 5 or 6 episodes of Monk.

We drove back from Washington Thursday and Friday (I'm too old to drive 1000 miles in one shot). Managed to pick the 2 days the PNW was dry for the drive. Unlike last year no car breakdowns on the way either :thu: Lots of work to be done around the house after 7 weeks away. Managed a ride in nice warm (compared to the PNW) weather and got a flat. THAT never happens up north since I ride a gravel bike with tubeless tires. Maybe I should switch

Friday night the Professor hit the open mic; it's fun having a band to back him up. Saturday I ran through the music for the Professor's first one hour gigs. I wanted to make sure I could dial in the sound for the guitar and ukulele. Sunday was church and then getting together with friends.

Started out Saturday playing some Disc Golf.

At noon, went with the Mrs. to a baby shower of girl who grew up before our eyes. We are friends of her separated parents and She is expecting twins.

In evening, performed at the annual Tom Petty Tribute (7th year, my 4th year) at the Beach Hut Deli. You get about 10-15 minutes to perform and this year I played:
Mystery Man
State of Mind (Mike Campbell song)
Even the Losers

I accompanied Lisa on one of her songs Louisiana Rain with some slide guitar and she sang on my set with State of Mind which is a duet.

Sunday was just recovering from a big Saturday. Ran a few errands with some minor yard work.

@Modern Saint

Hey!... I just started working on a Tom Petty tune.... well... sorta....

I love the drop at 1:20 :helper:

Our Drunksgiving show (Wed night before Thanksgiving) is going to have quite a few of the new songs we've been working on. The one above, "Feel It" Sister Hazel, "Use Somebody" Kings of Leon, "Mr Brightside" Killers, and a new arrangement I'm working on for "Never Gonna Give You Up". :baimun:

Saturday: Snow removal and puttered around the house.

Sunday: Snow removal and NFL. I watched my Broncos lose by missing a field goal that would have won the game against the Chiefs. The FG was from a distance similar to an extra point. It looked like the Broncos lineman missed his blocking assignment, allowing KC to block the kick.

My 40th on Saturday.

Mrs jbj booked us into a suite at the Malmaison in town then we went out for steaks and drinks.

Next morning we had a leisure breakfast at the hotel then did some slinking about. I promised my best mate from Saudi I'd send his son a Rangers jersey to Romania for Christmas so I dragged Mrs jbj to the stadium shop where the club mascot appeared. I might be officially middle aged but I was definitely getting a photo with Broxi the Bear - see photo. Got some presents for my nieces and nephews as well as my dad's Christmas present.

Took Mrs jbj to a bar near the stadium I sometimes go to. She's no interest in football so was largely underwhelmed while I pointed out all the old players and posters on the wall. Picked up a cool 2nd hand guitar that I'm going to clean up and give him for Christmas. Didn't a fortune :embarrassed:

Headed home (via a few pubs!) to collect Lola and go home to open my cards and gifts.

Couple of nice bottles of booze, Lego Art Milky Way, money. Absolutely spoiled.

Big family meal later as it's my twin and bri in laws birthday too. Really nice time.

Sunday, bunch of Remembrance events in the morning and early afternoon then off to the football at dinner time. Few more beers and gifts from friends then off to bed for some well deserved sleep!
