Normally I don't like Jazzmasters much but....HOLY SHIT that is hot.
I agree...wow that's scorching hot!
I don't quite know how I feel about that tailpiece/tremolo though. It just looks so cheesy to me....I've never actually played a guitar with that setup though.

Looks quite funky, but those trems are supposed to be very good. Never tried them myself.
Iirc Kauer uses them on quite a few of his guitars.

Have to admit I very much prefer 2-post Strat type trems. Best I've ever used is the Music Man one, which I had on a Luke.

I think it depends on what you want from a vibrato. If you are expecting Floyd Rose dive bombs and pull ups, you will be disappointed. If you expect what you get from a strat vibrato or a Fender JM vibrato, you will be in love.

As for the bridge, I take my guitars to this tech who at least in his 60s. He doesn't browse forums or anything, he just knows how build and setup guitars, it is his full time business and he has been doing it his whole life. When I took my tele build in with the Mastery on it, when I picked it up, he had to know where I got the bridge. He said it is the best bridge system he has ever seem and it sounded amazing. So I stopped by with my McFeely that has the vibrato and bridge, he loved it. He was mad he no longer has his old Jazzmaster because he would have kept it if he had that bridge.

Yeah, I would expect that it would be more of a wiggle bar than a Floyd type. In all honesty I'm not really much of a whammy bar guy. I love my Les Pauls. They have been my go to guitars for 10+ years now. Even my 3 guitars with Floyds don't get the whammy treatment much.

Can you post a pic of your tele and McFeely with the mastery bridges? I'd like to get a good look at them if you don't mind?

I've got 2 guitars with floyds and one with the ibanez one...I forget what they call them....both work fantastic.
One of these days I'll check out the other type trem. The Jazz master type guitars seem to be quite popular now. When I was just beginning I don't really remember anyone playing them. It was all super Strat type...Charvel, Jackson, Kramer and so on.

The saddles on that thing don't make sense.
But then again, I'm a fan of 6 saddle bridges. Really looks like there's a bit of sacrifice involved intonation wise. I may be wrong though.

No they are staggered to give you spot on intonation. My tech said he was concerned when he saw 2 saddles but he said it was a breeze to intimate.
