blah, blah, blah...
We will see if it is actually "boxing."

They are having 2 minute rounds. I predict that Tyson will knock him out in the first few rounds or lose if it goes the distance. 8 rounds I think.

I'm pulling for Iron Mike.
Jake is no slouch. Plus he's 30 years younger. I guessed that.
We shall see. Hopefully it's not fixed.

The real loser here is me because I have to sign up for Netflix again. And of course, everybody loses if Mike Tyson comes out of this with brain damage.

I don't have Netflix, so won't be watching.

I think it will come down to how well Paul can take a punch, and whether or not Mike can land a good one. I think he still has a lot of power and I certainly wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of one of his punches. If it turns into an endurance battle and goes the distance, I think Paul has the edge. I voted Tyson.

I picked Tyson.

Your favorite of the two options. You can't just pick Jimmy Page or the like.

I think you can totally pick your favorite sex creep regardless of whether they’re part of the fight. This is America. Anything is possible.

I’ve heard there’s a possibility Bill Cosby is coming out of retirement for this.

Meh they're meant to touch gloves around 4am over here. Lola has all of a sudden started waking us up at approximately 4am for no good reason at all so if she does I might crack a beer and watch it but probably not.

I was about 16 when Mike fought in a stadium in Glasgow a couple of miles away. He was past his prime but it was still a huge deal. He won in about 30 seconds if I remember correctly. Not sure if it's true or not but he was staying at one of the Hiltons and the press reported he'd ordered his dinner to be served there before the fight was even due to end. Even back then the cheapest tickets were about £50 if I remember correctly!

My grandfather was massively involved in Scottish Amateur boxing, ran and set up some very notable gyms, trained a guy who went on to become world champ in his weight at pro level. My dad and uncle had decent amateur careers as boys and its something I've dipped in and out of throughout my life - one of my formative memories is a good friend of my grandfathers letting me knock the shit out of the local bully for about 15 minutes of solid non stop sparring as a kid because he couldn't kick, grab me or rely on his pals to back him up :) I got halfway decent again at university and was due to represent us nationally before I got seriously ill and ended up with a colostomy bag for a few years.

It's a sport I love at the bare bones of it - I have a season ticket for the football but I don't watch any other teams because I have passion for my team, not the sport. I have passion for boxing but this and a bunch of stuff all of the awarding bodies have done in the last good few decades have turned it into a laughing stock. At least the WWE admit that the game is rigged and it's all about the money.

Someone in my guard team took a day of leave to watch this. We all came to work and watched that trash and had probably better reception streaming it on our cell phones. Got paid to do so.

After the third round I turned to my buddy and said "Look, Tyson is walking back to the corner like he really IS an old man, no chance now" and so it was.
