Thor: Ragnarok

Awe damn! I was totally stoked until I saw Jeff Goldblum. WTF?

That looks intriguingly batshit. I'm sure it is your typical boring Marvel stuff about the power of friendship. But the trailer seems like a late night VHS fever dream.

Based on this trailer I want the writer and director to reboot Krull. Then Beastmaster. Then a movie where Beastmaster goes to Krull.

I'm more excited about Thor: Ragnarok than I am Spiderman: Homecoming, Wonder Woman, or Justice League. :baimun:

To me it looks like a CGI mess that depends on action, action, action! And not enough story.

That was my problem with The Avengers (2012). Way too many explosions and CGI . Maybe there was a story in there, but us non-comic watchers couldn't follow it all.

No. But I wouldn't say that Orson Welles sucked just because I showed poor judgment and decided to sit through Transformers: The Movie.
Ok. That was a better TomPetty reply than TomPetty usually comes up with.

Are we comparing Orson to Jeff? I certainly hope not.

And what in the world does Transformers have to do with OW?

You lost me.

The 1986 animated Transformers: The Movie was Welles's last film; he died suddenly during the production, the previous October.

There's only one OW, but Goldblum is one of those guys who's always fun and interesting to watch; I'm almost always happy to see him on-screen. He's probably underused.
