Hm, I thought the tele didn’t get gigged, ‘cause you know - single coils.
Actually I’ve been able to use it for the last few shows. I still bring my PRS or Les Paul just in case and I play the Les Paul for the last set of the night with all of the high crunch tunes but I’ve been getting away with the tele for the first couple sets ok. It’s not super quiet but it’s been usable.

Some observations - The Emerson Em Drive and the King of Tone were all I needed for most of the set. I used the Sparkledrive MOD for a few rock tunes at the end of the set but the combination of the sealed back combo and the open back combo with a sealed 1x12 extension cabinet was really nice and gave the clean and lower drive tones a "largeness" that filled a lot of air, even outside. The two Suhr cabs have 65 watt Celestion Creambacks and the Deluxe has a 25 watt Celestion Greenback so they are all voiced similarly. Occasionally I'd throw the TC Spark Mini on for a boost. My "indoor" sounds were a little dry for an outdoor show and if I'd had time to play with it I probably would have added little reverb on top of the ambient (but almost inaudible) tape delays I use to thicken up most of my sounds. I brought my Les Paul but the tele was big enough sounding that I never felt like I needed to swap out guitars.

You have all those speakers and you're running in mono?

Actually that probably sounds better in the overall context than a stereo sound, which suits a more static and carefully positioned crowd.

That's definitely a great set up you've got.
Thanks! It’s the result of a couple of decades of buying shit that didn’t work. :embarrassed:

Honestly though, this rig (minus the deluxe and the 1x12 cabinet) helps me get through the cover gigs pretty well.

I see you have a Dirty Shirley on your board. I've been tempted by that pedal. I assume, with all the dirt pedals out there, that you've found that one to be more exceptional. Do tell.

I'm intrigued by this pedal setup as well. Could you give us a quick rundown of how you use those pedals?

I assume that each pedal is wired into the switcher individually, and then you program the various combinations in the switcher? I've been away from guitar tech for a long time :-(

It actually feels like a cranked high gain amp when I play through it. I hate distortion pedals unless they feel amp-like when I play through them.

Im using it here:
