Well I'm off into the wilderness of Montana and Yellowstone for a couple of weeks. Not worried about bears, but maybe I should be concerned with clowns...
Clown tries to lure kids into woods
An apartment complex in South Carolina is urging residents to watch their children after receiving multiple reports of a person dressed as a clown trying to lure children into the woods, according to media reports.
Residents of the Fleetwood Manor Apartments in Greenville, S.C., received letters from property management last week encouraging them to abide by the apartment’s 10 p.m. curfew, and not to let their children walk alone at night, WHNS-TV reported.
The apartment said there have been “a lot of complaints to the office regarding a clown or a person dressed in clown clothing taking children or trying to lure children into the woods,” WHNS-TV reported.
The apartment complex noted that the Greenville County Sheriff’s Department is aware of the situation and has been driving around the property daily.
Donna Arnold, a resident of the complex, told WHNS-TV she called the sheriff’s department after her son reported seeing a clown near the basketball court.
“I thought my child was seeing things," Arnold told the news station. "And then the next day I had about 30 kids come up to me and say, ‘Did you see the clown in the woods?”
