The white guitar phase 2

Next gig is my birthday at home, but we are just finishing a month break for singer/bassist vacation. We have been shooting some video and recording to put together something to start giving to clubs in Austin to get some gigs in town that pay better than the backwoods gigs out here.

I stained the rosewood bridge black.

My mother in law had a bottle of Fiebling's black leather dye.
On the left is a scrap of my Honduran rosewood. On the right, my Indian rosewood bridge.

The Honduran took up the dye just fine and it doesn't seem to rub off after polishing.
Now the question is whether I want to keep the light brown Honduran board which is rather unique or go black.

And I think the paint is done. Still have a couple of minor issues with it but I'm gonna let me go for now. There's a bit of adhesion problem around the neck joint but its fairly minor.
The other one is a bit of a  moment. Despite checking and rechecking to make sure I was reaching for GLOSS Watco lacquer, I learned after I sprayed the entire guitar that I accidentally grabbed satin. :annoyed:
Screw it. I like the satin on the green guitar. It feels good and never gets sticky, so satin it shall remain.

Oh well, that saves me a lot of polishing. Now I'll let it rest for a while to harden up.

I agree that, it would be so much more awsome if you dye it but, it's not hideous as it is, and... are you compleatly sure next month it won't be a different color?

I'm not painting it again. Supplies have become too expensive for playing around any more.
