The white guitar phase 2

What do you think? How's a Soapbar look on there? Cream good with the white?

And how's the string spacing? Acceptable?

I don't think it looks right with the cream.

Sorry EG. But, I'd rather be honest before you put any holes in the top.

I'm not sure either. The bridge pickup will have a white spacer with chrome top and a chrome case.
I could order a chrome cover for the soapbar or use black as well. The chrome would look good but I'm not sure how much that changes toanz.

I found some white covers for $2.
For the metal ones, you gotta get the nickel silver covers, as the played brass ones are the tone suckers. Those are $15.

And the Lollar turned out to be all wrong for this guitar. Ill have to sell it or maybe keep for a future project but its waaaay too bright a pickup for this guitar.
Next attempt: Phat Cats. I like P90s and a test with a soapbar last night yielded good results. Soapbars or dogears either one are gonna be hard to mount on this guitar, so the HB mount of the Phat Cats will help. They also have metal covers and A2 magnets and are supposed to be a little darker sounding than a traditional P90. Hope they work better.

Phat Cats. String alignment is pretty good but my experiences yesterday with slipping pickups is that they can tolerate a lot more movement than you think.

We live and learn. I got a decent enough deal on this one I can resell it if I decide to but I may keep it for something else.
I think I'm gonna put my Seth Lover in the walnut guitar. It needs something warmer.

This would make a perfect neck pickup for a Les Paul that suffers from muddy neck pickup syndrome.

Can't wait for next build thread. :hmm:
