How did I get here?
my unlikely Rush fan and aspiring comedic actress daughter! DANCING-banana
The setup: last week, she attended a taping of the show in Chicago. During breaks, Harvey does Q&A with the audience. When he asks anyone if they have a question, goofball daughter shoots here hand up, gets called, and asks him "When do we get to play 'Fast Money'" (that's the final Family Feud game each episode, which Harvey also hosts). He looked at her funny, then went on a comedic riff on her. After the taping, a producer stopped her and asked if she'd like to be a "model" for a hair-makeover dealy on an episode this week. Not like she'd be doing a lot of talking, but duh, she enthusiastically accepted.
So, she goes there today, and first, finds out that the episode they are taping before hers has Joan Rivers, whom she loves (my kid's so old school
) and she got to briefly greet her. BTW, daughter said that JR was extremely kind to everybody backstage. Next, during a quick run-through of the segment in rehearsal, she said that a male producer was playing the part of SH, and when he called her name, she acted as though she was looking for another person with that name, then said "Oh, that's me!"...that bit of good-natured smart-assery earned her a constant pushing and shoving the rest of the rehearsal by said producer 
, who also told her something like "Mmmm hmmmm, Steve's gonna LOVE you..."
When they get to her segment, I guess as the segment went along, the stylist got things wrong enough to where Harvey had to tap dance the segment to a different (less serious) direction. He then, just as the producer in rehearsal had done, starting messing with the daughter to try to get a funny reaction, which she obliged and rolled right with it. She said that the audience was rolling, and when she walked off the set, the backstage crew gave her a standing "O" 
Don't know exactly when the show's gonna air, but I'll post it here when I know.
