While I get my chemotherapy in Springfield, every six months I go into Boston to see a doctor at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. She is young, but on the ball. She knows all the latest research and makes treatment suggestions to the folks at Baystate.
I met with her yesterday, and was trying to determine how my treatment is going. She said I will be getting maintenance treatment as long as it works. Then she said the word I wanted to hear; the cancer is in remission. It makes the whole process worthwhile.
