Guy did a helluva job creating the Mach 5 from a Corvette. As cool as it is, I doubt it gets driven much. If only the steering wheel buttons worked.

Speed Racer was my favorite show as a young child for about 1 season. I wanted a Mach 5 that year.

I just realized that my wife looks a lot like the character Trixie from Speed Racer. No wonder I married her.

I like that one better. It's got the fins on the back and the headlights are more accurate.

The video is short on details though. I mean, plenty about the cartoon TV series, but very little information on who built the car and on what platform. The bit they did when he was supposed to be showing the engine only made it worse.

I figured the car may actually be a little short on motor and not a built monster. It’s seen smoking the tire but still depending how heavy it is would not take much. It would be cool to hear it with something that screams like a 12 but I guess it more cruiser than Le Mans.
