The Peterson Strobostomp HD vs the Sonic Research Turbo Tuner

Apparently, we're going to find out which one is "better". Peterson dropped the price from $129 to $99, and GC/MF included it in their 15% off sale. I need another tuner and can't turn it down for $85.

Damn you, TGP!
I just end up using the one in my M9 or I would probably get one.

I had one. I liked it better than the turbo tuner, but I decided I’m not a strobe tuner person. They could be 100% accurate, but the spinning wheel display doesn’t work for me, so it ends up being less accurate in my hands

I use a Korg for my non built in tuner guitars. Is that a poor choice?

I had that tuner in the 90s.
Sunvalleylaw was afraid to admit he loved the 90's. While I was more of an 80's guy, a 90's tuner still works for me. I'm not a fan of the tuners you clip on your guitar. Maybe I'll warm up to those in the roaring 20's. It's time to dust off the Charleston.

My Korg, and then my BOSS TU-12 both died. I used a Korg DT-10 pedal tuner, or the tuner on my Eventide Pitchfactor for 10 years. Then I bought a Polytune Mini I didn't like. Now I use the Turbo Tuner, which is the best tuner. But I kinda can't turn down the Peterson for the price.

I do have clip ons, but they're generally not as accurate. The TC Unitune is as accurate as the Turbo Tuner in strobe mode. But I don't like the display. If Sonic Research came out with a Turbo Tuner clip on, I'd buy it today.

I bought my Korg 11 or 12 years ago. The two you described arnt too expensive. I'll upgrade when she passes.

I dig the Sonic Tuner that I bought from @Chad awhile back. However I do not use it on a board I use it for when I work on my instruments along with setting the intonation when necessary.

Strobostomp HD showed up. I got about 10 seconds with it, but it's very nice. Just as accurate as the Turbo Tuner though the displays are very different. I like that it takes a battery and will turn off completely in true bypass mode. Can't beat it for $85.
