4/26/11....Went to see forum member Adam Lopez. His group, the cleverly named Adam Lopez and the Lo Tops at the Prohibition Room in OKC last night. A small crowd for a Tuesday night, but Adam and the gang put on a helluva show anyway. If you all haven't seen Adam's work, just look for him on youtube. He's there, and a terrific player. He even writes his own material!

The keyboardist didn't get in the frame. This is at the Sun Valley Brewery in Hailey, ID, opening for Abraxas, a Santana tribute band out of SLC. We did a 10 song set. And, . . . we are all seated! First time I ever gigged seated. Worked ok for this dinner music set.

Yeah, a bar. It's inside this cool 1950s gold geodesic dome building.
They just rolled in and went to town. :thu:

OK.

Good stuff!

Well, a dirty stinky hippie dude walked up and started playing harmonica in the middle of one of out songs, then pulled out a ukelele. Stupid asshole.

ukelele?
for realz?
awesome.
well, not for you, I s'pose, but I'd have laughed my ass off, had I seen it.

my departure date for rehearsal has moved from the 11th to the 9th of May.
works for me, gig's on the 13th, and I don't know our new guitarists at all...
drummer says they're coming along really well, though, and I trust him.

(hopefully) get to debut a new song at the gig as well.
first new tune this band's had since '06 or so.
everything I've written since has been for my solo stuff.

...and we already know how much you love harmonica players. :embarrassed:
But a ukulele is just unforgivable.
