I dont know about the week but I am absolutely dragging. I was sent to a conference in Orlando Tuesday night and got back last night at 9pm. I was told on Friday that I was going. idn_smilie

We didnt really have any down time. Classes ran from 8am to 5pm and then I was in debriefing meetings until 8pm. Then of course drive home yesterday.

Dragging but glad it is Friday.
 
Man, if that were me, I would have taken today as a comp day. And I dont do anything after 5 at conferences. I refuse. Bad enough Im out of town for a few days, Im not going to compound that by working longer than I normally would.

Yeah, well refusing to do something is unpopular around here these days. It is not completely unusual for me to work those hours when I am here either. the beauty of being exempt. And I am scheduled for 3 hours of hurricane training this afternoon so taking the day off was not an option either.

It isnt really all that bad. I'm just a little tired. The driving part is what tires me out and it rained most of the way up and back. Either way, I'm glad it is Friday but I do have to work an event on Sunday afternoon. I worked on my day off on Monday this week for a Memorial Day event as well. Man, I deserve a gold star for the week.
 
I'm working from home today....just waiting for lunchtime to plug a PRS into a Marshall and shake the house...
 
I'm going to work on my recording submission today. An interesting mix of fun and frustration. :embarrassed:
 
I just woke up. Got in late from our meeting last night (2am) and got pulled over by a cop fishing for a fix it ticket. None to be found. Still capped off my night beautiffully. The first thing that goes through my mind when I see Red and Blue in the rearview is "Fuck. What is this going to cost me?".

I said he couldn't see my license plate and he thought the light was out, but it was there. Then he ran my license to make sure I didn't have any warrants. Looking at the truck in its current state he might have thought he was going to get to rustle up some illegal aliens or warrants or something. Seemed disappointed when I told him I was coming from work ("yeah...I own Premier Music off Katella and we had a late rehearsal") and then I asked him how he likes the new police cars ("my Dad's company builds them for you guys...hows Rocky at the city yard doing?"). He wasn't expecting a productive member of society driving what looks like a wreck like my truck at 2am, I guess...

Been there. A cop pulled me over late at night before, his reasoning was that a car that looked like mine was "driving erratically" in a nearby parking lot. I said I had no idea what he was talking about, and he looked kinda puzzled and told me to go home. He was hoping I was drunk and/or smuggling drugs in my trunk. :facepalm:

Our bass player is a Mexican in his early 40's, and is a Professor at 3 local colleges including University of California, Irvine. Actually very distinguished looking. at least 3 times he's been pulled over and sweated on the side of the road for "looking suspicious" driving through Irvine at night.
 
Holy crap. I thought it was close to 5:embarrassed:0 and was ready to pack up and head home. Look over at the clock and it's not quite 3:embarrassed:0 yet. :facepalm::facepalm:

Thats OK.

The one student I have for today canceled so I haven't even left the house yet. I could just stay home all day but I do have some things I need to get done.
