I have A & W for floats. That's all they had at Albertsons. Here's a 2018 domestic rootbeer shootout. Hires should be in this test.that is good stuff isn't it? It's a fine root beer

I think it might be a zombie soda.It says it's made in Mukatalo sp? WA now. I scored it at Costco the other day, a 12ver but I've seen it at Total Wine and Liqour too. It is good root beer. It is also the first soda i have purchased since mayb e late 2018 because i almost never drink soda anymore. I was a soda junkie growing up and in to my early 40's but about 5 years ago i stopped cold turkey when i had the kidney stones and switched to chugging water through the dayDon't think I've seen Dad's since we left the Midwest in '81!
I went on a root beer jag a few years back and tried everything I could find. Most were mediocre. Dad's is all right, but I rarely see it around here. Sprecher is probably the best of the mass-market HFCS root beers. St. Arnold's is good, but frequently unavailable. A&W has some nostalgic appeal for me, but it's a pale shadow compared to the classic flavor from the taps at the old A&W drive-ins, and is best avoided except in case of a root beer emergency.
That alcoholic "Not Your Father's Root Beer" is all-out terrible. Tastes like store brand root beer with a shot of rubbing alcohol in it.
I have spoken.
To be honest, I haven't tried it since they changed it from HFCS to sugar. It was decent, but not amazing, before that change. I'll have to taste it again and report back.you didn't mention IBC
ok, that didn't take long....found some....ran across this one too from ST Louioh great.....now I'm gonna have to search online for this![]()
