We are finally getting some rain in my area the last few weeks and have gone from Exceptional to Moderate drought levels.

So, my former school district is thinking about cutting Creative Writing classes. which is bullshit, because it was A.) the most fun class of my senior year and helped me slug through it, B.) a very good creative outlet for the students, C.) Encourages productive, postive activity.

I understand this is America and we love our sports, but seriously, why are they immune to this kind of shit?

It'll be a great day when schools get all the fundiong they need and the damn football team has to hold a bakesale to buy a helmet. :facepalm:*

the ONE school here has cut ALL music and arts

but they have a hockey team for all ages, all genders (i.e. 10 teams, I thnk. maybe 8)

yeah...

shit, I'd do a free music class if I could.

like, if I had the faintest fucking idea what I was tlaking about, y';know?

It has been proven that if students have just one class per semester that they really enjoy, they are far less likely to drop out, have attendance problems, etc.

As for the sports versus curriculum thing, I don't get it either.
Just look at what some colleges pay a football coach versus their professors, including tenured Phd'ed prof's!

Come friday i'm going to swap out the lone preamp tube in my Kustom for a 12AY7. Lower gain, But i already use pedals for all of my distorshuns. So yeah. :)
