we're having to get all of our warranty claim repairs closed and submitted by 6 p.m. tomorrow. they're going to a new warranty system at JD so we wont be able to close any warranties for 2 1/2 weeks after 6 tomorrow.

we've closed amost 450 this month.

Hi Jerry - when you say JD - is that JD Edwards?

So I've got a seperate thread on this - but it looks like we are getting a bonus this year. I'm thinking of getting a higher end guitar. I mean my sweet spot for guitars is $200 - $400. But I thought I would spend a little more and get a Gibson Les Paul Standard, or DC. I just started looking but the Les Paul Standard Traditional Pro has my interest. BB's in the bridge, 57 in the neck, and coil tapping.

sample pics of the Cortocaster... the body be done...

thanks fellers... i think she turned out ok for my first paint job... however, i think i'm addicted now... i'm so ready to strip this peavey strat copy and do it now, i'm like a base head fiendin' for rock...

thanks bud... i know what mistakes i made and what to avoid now...

It's harder than a person might think. I had a FA Garage Master (I actually have 3) anyway, I was going to go natural - big mistake. The poplar wood was actually pretty ugly. Ended up painting it a metalic blue. It ended up a real mess. I am going to pull the electronics out, and toss the body. Not worth trying to salvage. Yours looks good.

Really - I don't think it is worth it. I already sold just the neck to a guy. I do want to keep the PUP's, and the pick guard as a spare. But if one of you guys is bored enough to do something with it - PM me. I'll sell (just the body) for the price of shipping. But I'm telling you it will be hard to find another pickguard, and I don't know if the neck is swappable.

Headed to bed kids...
