Do you like your Kimber? I've got an old military-issue Thompson 45 (that's the one that needs work), and a Glock 19 (2nd Gen.) that's never needed a bit of maintenance. Love the feel of the 1911 frame though.

the kimber is a special piece...designed on the original 1911 frame rather than the colt's 1911A1...accurate, well balanced, almost never jams...one of my favorites...

hi guys... just went and picked the kiddo up... she had her first major field trip today, the 3rd grade class of concordia elementary wen to the cosmosphere in huutchinson, ks today... it's about three hours from home... i was a bit nervous about it tho be honest, but, she had a great time... she saw a spy plane, space shuttle, moon rocks, a planetastium, watched an i max, and "a whole bunch of other stuff that i can't remember right now daddy", lol...

I've actually just gotten the itch again after about a 15-year hiatus. I've only got 2, but I'd like a couple more. A buddy of mine has about 75.
GH - let me know if you are looking at any thing in particular. I should probably sell some since I hardly shoot any more. PM me if you are looking for anything.

Sounds like fun for her. When I was a kid in S. Wisc - our big filed trip would be to "The Museum of Science & Industry" in big, bad Chicago - about a 2 hour ride one way. Big doins

Yup. Us Chicagoans are dangerous people.

I've had many, many field trips to The Museum of Science & Industry, The Field Museum and other places. The best times were when our gym teacher could justify to the school board that we needed to go to a Cubs or Sox game to better understand baseball. He was somehow able to do it, and we went to the games and sat in the bleachers. At that time, bleacher seats for the Cubs were only $3 or so.

Hi Monica,
It has been a long, long time since I actually went downtown, but for a while I worked for a large regional bank. One of our affilates, a securityies house, had a disaster recovery site in one of the Chicago suburbs. The people there were really nice. We went to that large mall - what is is "Woodfiled" I think? Anyway - I thought Chicago people were really nice the last time I was down there.
