TC Helicon Talk Box synth, anybody tried it?

Saw a clip of a band covering Rocky Mountain Way and the guitarist had a talk box sound but no tube! I'm pretty sure he was using the TC Helicon Talk Box Synth. I like the idea of no tube (I've got a Banshee) and no extra wall wart.

Wondering if anybody has ever used one... how does it sound, does it suck tone when off etc...
