Played one yesterday and OH DEAR GOD it was awesome.
I'm too lazy to post the specs but it has a hidden humbucker and all kinds of delicious acoustic AND electric mojo.

My friend Gino has one of the regular T5 models. I always thought it was kind of an ugly guitar, but I have to say his plays really well and sounds fantastic direct into the PA. Kind of cool they added a humbucker sound to it, as the electric sounds on his were always pretty weak.
 
Yup - I had that one for a brief period, and it is a fantastic guitar. @baimun will chime in soon, as he has gigged one for quite a while... :wink:
 
I don't care for the looks. I have a 516CE which is an amazing acoustic. I've never played T5 so I can't comment on that but I don't find them all that attractive.
 
Honestly the pic does zero justice. I encourage you all to go see one. If you are still disenchanted, I can accept that, but it is way gorgeous (to me) in person.

I have a Godin Acousticaster that fills the same niche, and it's a great niche. It's also my lightest-weight, most comfortable acoustic. I find it very useful, and would imagine that the Taylors would do just as well or better.
