Dig it! Springsteen Gets A New Tele...Production Pics

Looks nice. I imagine they are trying to reproduce his old standby so the relic job is appropriate. I'm surprised the original is in one piece since he plays like he's trying to saw the thing in half.

I have no problem with relic'd guitars until they make me pay more for a beat up guitar. I realize it takes more time and effort to relic it, but it is something I wouldn't pay extra for.

what good are frets?

Exactly.....

What does it really matter to all the internet experts and tastemasters if Bruce plays a reliced guitar? It's fine to have an opinion on the topic of relicing in general threads like that are just silly.

lol. I love how a guy who has probably played more live shows that pretty much anyone on the fricken planet is painted as a poseur for having his custom made guitar feel played in and look beat up. Amazing.

those frets are rediculous.

funny how some noob on TDPRI implies Bruce needs to pay some guitar dues before doing this.

"Bruce, don't fake it till you make it.... guitar wise."

lol...im pretty sure hes made it.

I didn tknow he retired the Esquire. Tunnel Of Love? that came out like 20 years ago.

I wonder what he had to pay for that? Is it a freebie/discount for being The Boss or if he paid outright for it?

Yeah, I'm not a fan of relic'ing in general, but since this guitar will be sharing the spotlight with the headliner in a huge show, it's important that it looks and plays its role perfectly.

I wouldn't pay for a relic, but then again I'm not a household name... except in my own home. And even then, I'm like fourth on the bill.

I wonder if this is a relic too

Looks like a Squire CV!

Bruce can play whatever he wants in my book. They are his tools after all. And he has figured out a way to make a living at this thing. So if he thinks a relic'd copy of his guitar will do the job, I figure he knows what he is talking about.

he probably didnt pay anything, or rather had his tech pay whatever and then his tech probably billed (The) his Boss.
