Achtung! Sooooooooooo any of you guys interested in the international sawker cup?

Wondo could have made himself a national hero. But at least Green scored. Provided some drama and helped silence some critics (myself included). It was a good run, and we made it further than anyone thought we would.

Tim Howard...holy shit....

it could have been a bazillion to 1
:embarrassed:mg:

Well done great game, like Costa Rica and Greece a shame someone has to lose

Yeah, great final minutes. Would have been nice to see that one at the end of regulation go in, and for the US to steal the win. But not to be.

Kudos to the USA. Guttiest display I can recall seeing for a long time. Moral victory USA.
What the hell is a moral victory?

It was a fun game to watch. I wish the outcome was different, but it wasn't meant to be. Maybe next time.

:)

Howard for president. I'm still happy even though we lost, those US fans in the stadium went on to the end and got what they paid for. The Germans won andc all over the place the fans and media can't quit talking about how they didn't play to their potential. :-\

I want a Columbia and Belgium final.

One nice thing: There was a singular lack of theatrics, acting, diving, or other cheating in this game. Both the US and Belgium played a fair game, and the referee did not influence the outcome.

Have to say I've become quite fond of the US team this World Cup.
Workrate second to none, willingness to attack (although quality didn't quite match the intent), and an exemplary attitude on the pitch with no foul play, diving or moaning at the ref. You should be proud of your team. :thu:

Some quality work on high tempo passing, decision making (a bit naive yesterday in throwing a bit too many people forward at once) and finishing and you can suddenly make a semi final.

Quite enjoyed watching the US play this summer. :)

Extra time was amazing.

The Belgians had the better skills but the US of A had the guts.

A great TEAM. Many useless overpaid European footballing 'geniuses' could do well to listen to how Klinsmann got this team together and what teamwork actually means.
