Achtung! Sooooooooooo any of you guys interested in the international sawker cup?

Well here we go, I hope the guys who were complaining about draws are paying attention.

You know, the Yanks I know that hate football has always complained about low scores and 0-0's. What's your excuse now?
I honestly can't remember a World Cup as entertaining as this one...

That was a very questionable no-call late though, Mexico very fortunate that turnover didn't cost them.

Clear penalty. That said, Mexico should have had one earlier that half as well (high kick to the head).
Holland are dire when they're not given space to counter attack.

As someone who has never watched football/soccer until this world cup, is diving/flopping really as prevalent as it seems? That would seriously get in the way of me enjoying a sport if a guy can act his way to a win.

Quite often depends on the country. Especially South Americans, Spaniards and Italians have been the worst offenders for years, but it's creeping into other leagues as well. A lot of players will do anything to win, including cheating.

what a cracker from Sneijder!

Well done to the Dutch to turn it around. Many a great team would have given up. Credit to the Mexicans, they nearly outdid us, but they just didn't have a extra special bit to carry it through all the way

The diving and crying like a baby is a cultural thing I guess, eg in scottish football and lower league english football you'd get your baws booted in for doing it, but lots of countries seem to have no problem with trying it to try and gain advantage - they see it as a fair attempt.

It doesn't help that football has become less physical, which is a bit of a shame I think. A good shoulder to shoulder challenge or proper sliding tackle is rarely allowed now
