Achtung! Sooooooooooo any of you guys interested in the international sawker cup?

Dexter and I agree on football, second time this year

I've had enough now. Such a fantastic football player, but he keeps putting his team in trouble for long stretches every season. And I actually sort of thought he had gotten better....Fwiw I never defended what he did against Ivanovic either.

I can definitely understand the club if they want to get rid of him now.

In spite of all the talk if the game is tied around the half especially if Ghana is ahead, I suspect both sides will dumb it down because a tie is better for both than a loss could be. Yes the US has a chance to win the group if they win...but if they get countered and lose and Ghana is winning there is a real risk that Ghana could finish 2nd. Of course with a tie it doesn't matter what either Ghana or Portugal does and IMO that seems a better choice that possibly missing out completely in the effort to "go for it"

I actually didn't know until this world cup that Billy Corgan and that dude from "Capitol Cities" played for USA.

Winning through losing...Murica.

Actually, it's pretty fitting -- since the only way Mexico even got to the dance was because of America (we had already qualified for Brazil) scoring two goals in stoppage time against Panama. Otherwise, El Tri would be watching this from home...

True, but one play away from winning 2 games. Not bad for a team that had no chance of getting out of the group.

To me, they are better than people gave them credit for but are not playing very well so far at the WC. I dont watch them a lot but Bradley in particular has been pretty sloppy. Giving a lot of balls away what arent even forced. Just weak passes. If he had played better, US could have conceivably won the group of death.

troof.

They will definitely have to kick it up a couple notches if they are going to make any noise in the elimination rounds.

US' big problem is the misplaced passes in midfield and that you haven't got a good striker - Dempsey is not a striker although he's capable of doing a job in that position.
Altidore is dreadful btw, built like a skyscraper but a terrible finisher.
Quite surprised by your defence actually, as that was supposed to be your weak link (with only MLS players). Very impressed by Fabian Johnson, to be honest.
