So I came up with a good use for my Peavey Backstage 50

Punchy

Slacker Supreme
It's a solid, durable combo amp, but for the last year or so, it's been pulling duty as the speaker cab for my Epi VJ head. The amplifier section was merely gathering dust.

Well, we got some new outdoor speakers for the people corral out at the ranch, and their listed impedance is "4-8 Ω" So I go "WTF? messedup0" And then I'm like "the current old-ass mixer/amp sucks, but the Peavey'll take it! heavy-metal-044" It's rated for 50W @ 8Ω so I figured it should be safe as long as I wired the speakers in series so it's a minimum of 8Ω.

So I made me up a little box out of 3/4" plywood and a 1x4 we had left over from a previous project, put the amp in there, fired it up and wahlah! Magic sound.

Next up: Mount a second pair of speakers and run both sets through a speaker selector switch. Pics later.

Well, it's no Prages re-homing job, but it works
