Dig it! So, I’m trying on a pair of 10 dollar jeans

The jeans were marked down a few times already and part of a sidewalk sale at a store in Port Dover.
Port Dover is the Canadian biker capital every Friday the 13th. So, the store is clearing out stuff and loading up on new inventory for this coming Friday.

But this post is in the guitar section.

Here’s why.
These were in the fitting room. Just leaning up against the wall.

No idea what the P90 guitar is but it looked to be in great plying shape.

This though. Just sitting there.

Something with the back, though. I didn’t look too closely. Looks like it might just be protection against buckle rash.

Unfortunately, not for sale.
The owner of the shop is a musician. She wasn’t there but the lady working the store told us the story about the owner.
I know these aren’t very popular but I like the look and one of my favourite guitarists, Shaun Verreault, plays one.

There were other guitars around the store including a Jay Turser Flying V, A Squier Bass, an Epiphone double neck, an old beat up arch top that had been spray painted black. It was all just decoration for the store.

The jeans fit. I bought them.

I love me a Gibson Blueshawk. That Nighthawk is cool, too.

Id hit that Nighthawk in a heartbeat.
I had a nice fireburst model with 3 pickups back in the 90s but I moved it on for financial reasons.
I like the simpler 2 pup model even better. The mini humbucker in those things is awesome.

Probably one of the last creative guitar designs from Gibson in the past few decades.
And even that was mostly creative by way of stealing the Bluesmaster design from St. Blues and Rio Grande's design of a two full coil Tele bridge pup. Gibson neck and mini-hb, but everything else was clearly them going after a vibe that included aspects of their biggest competitor...

I found them too small and did not care for the feel. Only played two ever...DECADES ago.
