SDOTD - Traynor Quarterhorse

CBHScott

How did I get here?
These have been discontinued for awhile; I wonder where in the wearhouse MF dug these out from.

perfect. I was thinking about getting some kind of tiny amp to leave at my neighbor's with my extra cabinet. $70, sounds perfect for that.

Funny - I saw that and it had me scratching my head. Unfortunately, the only cab I have right now is a 16 ohm, so I would expect it would be rather attenuated through that, since it's meant to go through eight ohms...

Got any combos that are not wired direct, "have a jack to connect the speaker"? If you do, you can unplug the speaker, use a double female to connect your speaker cable to it.

I’ll let you know. My cabs are 16 ohm, but I have an 8 ohm speaker I could put in one of the cabs if I need to.

Fuck it - just bought one! :)

I figure it won't damage anything, just be a little quieter (my cab is a 112 with a 16-ohm Fane AXA12.

For me, worst case I give it to my daughter to use as a headphone amp or get her a little speaker to go with it.

Yeah - I was thinking it might be something to slip in the case when I'm travelling, if nothing else.

I got it last night. Interestingly, when I plugged it into my speaker cab, I got nothing. However, when I replaced the speaker cable with a regular guitar cable, it worked fine. Very odd. Not loving it so far, but I'll see what I can do with it given some more time and perhaps using the RK5 in front of it. That might make a nice light auxiliary package to bring along if I fear an amp might conk out.
