Roy Clark, comedian

Fantastic, gifted hotshot player, who did not take his exceptional talent too seriously.

Jerry Reed was another 'aw shucks maybe I'll pick a little' types.

Those were the days. I was a young fan.

We have hotshot players today that are YT famous. It’s a different world. Some don’t take themselves too serious. Most are not as funny as Roy.

I watched Hee Haw a lot as a kid and early teen. I really didn't understand the level of musical and comedic talent I was witnessing until much later.

Hee Haw was a staple in my house when I was growing up as well. My dad liked the corny humor...and I suspect the cute girls that were on it. He liked Buck Owens too. I grew to appreciate Roy's playing and a lot of the musical acts that were on the show, in addition to Buck and Roy.

Regarding the OP, that looks to predate Hee Haw. Any idea what that clip is from?
