Rocktron Banshee owners sound off!!!

The Banshee is supposed to be true bypass… I think not!


I installed new pickups in my guitar and to test it out I just plugged straight in, no effects before the amp. Sounds wonderful!


Hooked up my pedalboard before the amp (Banshee->tuner->wah->Phase 90->Fulltone fat Boost 3->amp) and the wonderful tone was no more.


Did some troubleshooting and the wah (Dunlop 95Q) did alter the tone a bit but the Banshee really impacted it negatively. It’s supposed to be true bypass but I’m thinking not so much.


Anybody else have a Banshee and noticed this?


For now I’ll just have it out of the loop and hook it up when I need it (only use it on 2 songs).
 
I didn't really notice whether or not it was true bypass. Mostly I've been frustrated by Rocktron's assumption that I must want a distorted sound with my talkbox.

Yeah that doesn't bother me so much... I use it for "Show Me the Way" and "Rocky Mtn Way". We're working on "Living on a Prayer" too. Works fine for those songs but yeah there's no clean with this thing.

So... pretty much every song ever done with a talkbox, then. :grin:
