RIP Glenn Pavone

it was 5 years ago this evening when Glenn lost his fight with cancer. he was a fantastic guitarist and the guitarist for Glenn Pavone & the Cyclones (Pittsburgh band). they played all around the Pa, NY, Va area.
he was also the guitarist (before the Cyclones) with The Billy Price Band, where he was nominated for a W.C. Handy award. unfortunately the Cyclones CD's (3 of them) are no longer available. i was lucky to collect all three before Glenn died, back in 2004. Glenn was a really nice person and almost no one disliked him.

anyway, i'm just taking a little time to remember a guy who is STILL influencing my playing.
here are two of the very few videos of them. they were shot by someone with a smart phone, so the sound is kind of blown out. this show was only a couple months before Glenn died and he's quite thin and a bit sickly looking.

........and another year goes by.
RIP Glenn.

i'm trying to figure out if there's a way to upload (or something) mp3 or wav files here. i could put up some of the Cyclones tunes so folks here would have a clue what a smokin' player Glenn was.

edit: i have all 3 of their CD's. and they're all out of print and the band is gone.....so.

You could try setting them to a video/picture montage using Windows Movie Maker, Powerpoint or something and uploading them on Youtube.
