It's Riot Fest weekend in Chicago. Tonight it was 40 degrees and rainy. I was outside for 4 hours in mud that was about 5 inches thick. But I got to see Mastodon and Slayer so it was worth it.

It's not supposed to rain for the rest of the weekend. But the park is now a giant patch of mud so it will be messy. Tomorrow and Sunday will be about ten hours straight of live music.

I hope you get to see some more good stuff. I wouldn't mind seeing the Cure, myself. It would be best, however, to see them with my son.
 
I met someone for lunch in Wicker Park yesterday afternoon. I was fortunate to get through the Humboldt Park neighborhood before the crowds started to arrive. North Ave was already busy with hipster concert-goers at 1:30.

Looks like a good line-up of acts this year. Shame about the weather.
