Reverse headstock

Slender Hobbit
I am thinking about starting a Warmoth build. I am thinking about going with a reverse headstock. I have seen some folks say that with a reverse headstock, with the low E sting is longer, the tension is greater. Does anyone know if that the longer string increases the tension? I would like the lower stings to have higher tension.

Joe and Ken are both big proponents of reverse headstocks. They feel the high string tension on the wound strings reduces muddiness. Lower string tension on the unwound string make bending easier for soloing. Almost every guitar they play has a reverse headstock.

That is exactly what I am looking for. I am leaning on building a Mustang, now that they have some hardtail versions at Warmoth. The only drawback for me on short scale is the low E gets a little flubby and if I go drop D, then it is almost too much unless i jack up the string gauge. I may just have to try it.

I've never thought about that. My TeleBird is gonna have a reverse headstock. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
