Harmonic Dive Bomber
Both of my Trace Elliot Super Tramp combos have decided to develop nasty earth hums one after the other within 2 months and due to work and family commitments I have no chance to get either of them to the nearest proper amp tech who knows these things. As a result I had to get another rig together so dived into the cupboard to check my old rack gear and after trying some bits put this together.
Home built 2x12" stereo cab loaded with 100w 8ohm Celestions and my 30 year old Marshall Valvestate 8008 power amp provided the volume.
Tones are provided by an old Yamaha FX550 processor I picked up cheap a few years ago and had never got round to integrating with my Trace Elliots running through Yamaha Q100 stereo EQ both powered by an ancient Yamaha PW100 power unit. Some great tones out the box and I managed to find a couple to use to get through Saturday's rehearsal. I now have to spend some time programming to get a few more set up to have everything I need.
I may be a hoarder for old gear but right now I'm damn glad I am!
