Prince and Sheila E rap a poem from the 1840's....

I posted this live Prince performance for a Gen-Z guy that is just learning about Prince for the first time....



When he got to the rap part where Prince switches to the drums and Sheila E takes the mic, I remembered that it was a limerick from a poet but had to refresh my memory on the name and date. The original author is Edward Lear from a limerick collection originally written in the 1840's.

Maybe he doesn't want his 19th century poetry in the same genre as a Sir Mix-a-Lot?

Then again, I like big butts and I cannot lie.
