Home Improvement set out to satirize the clueless, American male whose DIY projects spiral into lethal madness due to toxic masculinity, yet ended up celebrating those same repugnant aspects, and legitimized a popular disdain for safety and common sense. Male characters who attempt to dissuade Tim Allen's character from making bad choices by explaining physics or philosophy are presented as out-of-shape, unmasculine beta males, hiding behind beards or fences to maintain their elitism from the common man. During its 8-season run, Home Improvement planted the seeds that became the alt-right movement, destroying civil discourse in America and eventually leading to our downfall.

Also, JTT was only somewhat dreamy.

Same happened with Married With Children. Al Bundy is supposed to be a really miserable guy in a dead end job and loveless marriage. Probably days away from hanging himself.

But all folks remember is 'No Ma'am' and how he 'triggered fat chicks' at the shoe store. And then think that was totally DESTROYING.
