Pete Thorn: AMPS in the zone...plexi madness!

Yeah. If I really needed a loud plexi that's the amp to buy. My Badger 30 is sort of a "quiet plexi" if there ever was such a thing. "Quiet" being a relative term. You ever crank an original 100 watt Marshall plexi through two 4x12 cabs? I did once at a store I used to take my amps to for service. I'm surprised I'm not both deaf AND sterile.
