OK, I'm just going to say it...

I miss them both, especially Flamencology. They both provided a LOT of worthwhile content at HC, especially JJ.

It's so easy to ignore people on the intrawebz, I routinely scolled past Uma's posts and quit reading Gennation's all together.

I don't know what y'all aren't seeing, but from the minute that James guy showed up it was constant drama and the minute he left the drama did too.
I've been on here for just over a year and immediately recognized that guy as caustic and just an irritating ass knowing and enjoying that he is one. Good riddance. I don't know what the issues were between the other two but I never had a problem with either of them.
Edit: and in all honesty, had he stuck around I'd be long gone.

You'd miss me too much

I'm glad Jammity is gone, but do miss OGG and Flamencology. It sucks that the really bad shit down between them, because they both had a lot to contribute. :(

I can't believe OGG and His Royal Jamminess didn't get along. They had virtually identical stances on the "Look at how NOT amazed I am by the INCREDIBLY FAMOUS PEOPLE I work with all the time" issue.

I miss all three of them especially OOG. I like having JJ around too but I never had an interaction with him that he didn't take as a challenge and I'm one of the least confrontational people you're likely to meet.

I enjoyed all of them, "feisty" as they may have been, except when any of them posted in the same thread. Feistiness implosion. Snark Battle Royale. Gotta keep 'em separated.

I do too. I just wish folks could hang out and not be so snarky all of the time. I know I get looked down on because I try to have a trolling free forum but we lost a lot of traffic because of the OGG blow up and subsequent fallout and it bummed me out to see how many folks just don't like each other in the first place.

Makes me sad when I hear this song. From when I was little, and I guess back then, I thought the world would all be straightened out in a few years. Painfully apparent, it's still not.

I've always seen JJ as a tool to himself. A parody. He was real literally 10% of the time in the last number of years on HC. A shit starter 90%. Almost entirely shtick. There was one time he was a great forumite, but again, years back. He got his hooks into an internet persona and ran with it. It was all fun and games for him until people got angry, and then it was "What? What?! I didn't do anything. It's you, not me. You just don't appreciate what I do". Every single time. Over and over.

I for one do not miss him a bit. May be a great guy in reality. May have been a great former forumite. His expression of himself the last few years, or his internet avatar, persona, whatever you want to call internet Oscar, I don't miss for a second.

Flamencology was an arrogant pompous ass most of the time, yet hardly anyone stood up to him until OGG had enough. Sorry, but I never liked him and tried to keep my mouth shut in the interest of peace. Sometimes, I could take no more and opened fire. I really hate doing that.
Ah, but that's Grey Poupon under the bridge now. :snooty:

Jammity/Franciscus... What can I say? Perhaps written text was not the best mode of communication for him.

I was offline and out of the loop for a while. I knew about JJ and OGG but what happened to Flam? And...link?

I miss OGG. Flamencology never bothered me. I enjoyed the OJ who posted interviews and the like, but I detested the JJ personality that showed up most of the time.

What I took away from the whole brouhaha was that someone thought someone else was a fraud, someone thought someone else was a leech, and someone thought someone else was a psychopath.

I know! George Benson and I had a pretty good laugh about that the other day.

I was discussing the same thing with my friends in Van Halen -- original lineup, not the sucky half and half version -- they couldn't believe it.

I know right? When John Mayer and I were headed for the spa last week, we had a laugh about it, but then we had to get our bronze on.

It's a mixed bag for me.

I always enjoy JJ's on topic stuff... but he couldn't resist poking at hornets nests with sticks.

Flamencology can suck on a hornet filled bag of dicks, IMO.

... but him not being around anymore at the expense of OGG no longer posting cuts deep. It's a good thing I stay in touch with OGG outside of this forum or I would have a much more bitter outlook of those events.

Jimmy James has a Ben Vereen quality, I can't put my finger on it. Take the high road, baby!
