Oh brother, here we go again - another Telecaster

I been on a selling spree. I sold @bsman my Strat and sold my PRS back to @Guitar Heel and then I sold my Bigsbytele to my friend Steve. I also have the Casino and Hofner up for sale.

So I didn't feel bad about getting this MIJ 52RI with Texas Specials for a good price. It's coming from Japan.

I got a 52RI in Maryland but it had a few issues and was kind of a dud. But I've always liked the old Teles.

It will be here sometime in the next few weeks!

I had one of those! Except mine was lake placid blue with a double bound body. Gorgeous guitar and I liked the twangy Texas specials a lot. I think I sold it for something with a more substantial neck but that was ages ago.

Isn’t Springsteen’s iconic guitar an Esquire retrofitted with a neck pickup? I believe it is stripped down to a natural finish.

I think all of the Japanese Fenders are 7.25" with vintage frets, right? That might not bode well.
