Norma guitar parts, etc.

My neighbor bought a MIJ, in the 60s guitar for $20. It's a Norma, possibly made by Teisco. The fretts have zero wear on them. Back of the neck has deeeeep scratches. He likes thinner necks and this one is chunky and the neck is noticeably wider on the back than the front where the "binding" is. Neck is wider than frett board + binding, it's a step. Thinking of trying to reshape the neck at some point, will see what it does now that it has strings and string tension on it. Neck has no truss rod and I'm wondering if making it thinner would be the straw that broke the camel's back.

I cleaned the white rocker switches and got them to do something. You would think they would be on off switches for each pickup. Maybe someone rewired it wrong, one switch turns both pickup either on or, off. The other is like a tone control, maybe puts one of the pickups out of phase?

He is tickled pink, having a blast with it. I'm wondering if I can find a better bridge for him. I found this pic on Ebay, if it's not the exact same bridge, it's very, very close.

Are there any places that sell parts to upgrade old MIJ guitars, made by God knows who, where I can get a better bridge? Even some shitty
non-adjustable preformed thing that would make it kind of, sort of make it intonated?

If but one of those ebony jazz bridges on Amazon, use the existing posts and hope for the best. Or drill it for a wraparound.

I had a very similar guitar back in the eighties just to learn on behind my bass' back. Only one pickup on mine though and not gold foil.
