I just went with the Wren and Cuff deal. Should ship soonEvery time I've done it I've gotten stuff I don't need or want. I see people getting pedals and other cool stuff and I get an expensive pick and a strap that seems like they just wanted it out of the office.
I've read a whole bunch of people skipped it this year and went for things like the Chase Bliss and Wren & Cuff mystery boxes.
February for me. LOLI just went with the Wren and Cuff deal. Should ship soon
Two yeas ago a friend brought a bottle and I tried Malort, had a second shot, and had a third shot. I think that should qualify me for some sort of valor award...
Can you blame people for not buying in on this BS? For $50 you get a cheap strap and a set of strings... if you're lucky. No thanks.I bit again. This time I got a DOD fuzz pedal. By far the best thing I've ever gotten from it. It looks like most people have bailed from it. I got an email the day after they went on sale saying they were still available. The first couple years they sold out in minutes.
I think I did it twice. Neither time was it worthwhile.I got suckered into it once. That was enough. It was worse than a present from my mother-in law.
Malort is good actually and people who act like it’s super icky are being weird. As an astringent, medicinal liqueur/digestif it’s not a sip and savor everyday sort of thing, but it’s not bad.Two yeas ago a friend brought a bottle and I tried Malort, had a second shot, and had a third shot. It's not bad in cocktails. I haven't acquired a taste for it straight. As Carl Jeppson IV once said "it tastes like an abortion clinic in Iceland".Malort is good actually and people who act like it’s super icky are being weird. Marz does/did a Malort spritz in a can that was actually pretty tasty (for a canned cocktail).
