Duller than cardboard
My best guess is this is a 2012 model. Everything about it reeks of quality. All the details are perfect. If Gibson sold this it would be $3-4k.
It's 7 lb 7oz. and it has a pretty chunky neck with a gentle soft V. The V is a small adjustment, I've never had a guitar with that sort of neck carve. The balance with a strap makes it feel a little like a Firebird. There's one little finish ding near the jack plate and then there are some normal light scratches/swirls on the pickguard, but otherwise it looks brand new.
It sounds great. Dirty and woody. The bridge pickup is either a little dark or maybe I should swap out the tone pot — the treble only seems to come to life in the very last bit of the tone knob adjustment.
All in all though, it's a stupid deal. It's the nicest LP Special I've ever played, that's for sure.
