New Warmoth Soloist build started…. (now with more Pink and Sparkles!!)

Funkasaurus Rex
Ordered a super lightweight Roasted Swamp Ash body and it arrived at noon…. Debated about leaving it raw like a Nuno, but decided to throw one quick coat of neon pink on it. Should age and relic up extra quick this way. :baimun:

The body was only 3 pounds to begin with, Fishman fluence pickups are actually a bit lighter than some other pickups, and I put Gotoh Stealth Locking tuners which are less than half the weight of other locking tuners. Roasted flame maple neck has a carve that’s halfway between. ‘59 and an SRV (I buy fat backs and make my own neck carves).

The burnt chrome floyd has been upgraded with stainless screws, stainless string locks, and a fat brass block.

Knobs are just sitting on top right now, but I still think this guitar will be under 6 pounds when complete.

Nice! Where are you finding the Gotoh Stealths? I'm not able to find them. FWIW, Lace Alumitones are possibly the lightest pickups available.

I've had them in a box for a while. Once I got a set of the non-locking, I ordered a set of locking, and have been unable to find new ones ever since. :(

So I experimented with some color flop sparkles in the clear… and well… I successfully made a guitar that looks really cool in person but is practically impossible to photograph correctly.

The UV reactivity of the pink and the color change of the sparkles that are only visible at an angle. :embarrassed:
