Yeah but your list is terribly flawed, so I left it alone. But since you asked.
Vermeil went back and forth from college and the NFL many times before becoming a head coach on either level, so he didn't really go from college to the NFL and win.
Pete Carroll was an NFL head coach before a college one and did a ton of coaching at the NFL level before becoming head coach at USC.
Tommy C also had close to a decade in the NFL before his BC head coaching gig.
Switzer is one of the only true College coaches you mentioned to be successful in the NFL. And how much of his success was due to him or the stud team he inherited from Jimmy J?
Jim H was an NFL QB for 14 years. He also did a stint as the Raiders QB coach before heading to the college ranks.
Jimmy J is the other true college coaches on your list to go solely from the college ranks to the NFL and win and probably the reason Switzer won a super bowl.
Bill Walsh had coaching stints with the Raiders, Bengals and Chargers before becoming the head coach at Stanford.
So you named 2 guys who were really college coaches that went to the NFL and were successful. The rest had a bunch of NFL experience before going to college and then returning to the NFL.
I went high level. As you said previously, the time spent to put all details in is not worthy of such a discussion.
