National Football League 2019

That was a bad call, but it shouldn't have mattered, t he delay of game was the nail in the coffin. There was no excuse for that. I have no doubt Marshawn would have scored from the 1.
Agreed, that it should not have mattered. Hawks shot themselves in the foot. But were still standing, and the call DID matter, so would be nice if they would call things right. But you are right, the Hawks made a couple bad mistakes there in the end.

Can't really like the post, as I am pissed about a missed blatant PI call just prior to the last pass to Hollister. But I have donned the offending item as my avatar for two weeks as agreed per our usual bet.

Though Marshawn did not rip off huge yards, it was fun to see him run and get some yards, and fun to see him jump over the top and land on your guy's head.

There is really no point in arguing balls and strikes, or PI calls and non calls. I for one hate that a defender can have his hands on a receiver, but suddenly becomes holding if the ball is in the air behind him. There are plenty of 'hands on' plays that refs let go, especially late in the season and late in the game in the spirit of 'let them play'. Many calls go against a team as many go for them, and it just makes no sense to me to claim a game was robbed for a call late in the game, forgetting calls that went the other way earlier. I get that it was a hard drive and many think it should have been PI. I'm proud of the Niners D for stopping a relentless Wilson comeback. And Pete definitely didn't help you guys.

Marshawn looked good for not having played for over a year, and I have no doubt that but for the delay of game call, he would have steamed over the top again. Maybe the D would have stopped him, maybe not.

All in all, a great game and as I said hopefully a preview of the NFC Championship game.

And George looks good in that pic, ya gotta admit:dude:

Seattle fans are the biggest whiners.

Don't bitch about a PI call unless it's the scope/scale of Saints/Rams.

@frunobulax I've watched the entirety of the Pats' season. Brady looks like a journeyman QB over much of the last part of the season. The talking points you mentioned are just inaccurate. Players are open (or in the case of James White, a former SB MVP, almost entirely ignored) and he misses them.

His throws just are not as good. Velocity, accuracy, quickness of release are all clearly poor. And sorry to sound too much like a bloodthirsty football fan, but what do I care if he's hurt? If he's going to play, then he needs to play better. Or let Stitham play. Or something ... else.

Regardless of why their record (4-4 finish 2nd half) is what it is, I can't imagine Brady healing up this winter and coming back and being competitive at a level where they can compete for a title. And I don't care to see the 'victory lap last season' in this case.

I did not realize you watched all the games. I missed a few games early as I was unable to watch. So. I shall defer to your football acumen and adjust my innaccurate sports opinions accordingly.

There’s no good way for Brady to end his career. It’s like Favre. He’s not good enough to compete for a championship, but he’s better than a lot of the other QBs.

That game was like watching live coverage of an unsuccessful attempt to rescue people from a collapsed building.

Ugly, slow, dispiriting.
