National Football League 2019

Cautiously optimistic about the Niners this year. They have most of the pieces necessary, though I'm concerned about the WR's.

I will always back the pack, but I have a vested interest in having the 49ers do well, because I fear (as a Santa Clara homeowner) being stuck with insanely high property taxes (I mean, even more insanely high than they already are) if they continue to suck...

I'm starting to lose all interest in professional sports.

Pro teams from my home state have won exactly one championship ever. Aside from 2006, nothing but disappointment.

Also, random geographical area is an odd reason for fandom, at least in my opinion.

I'll still pull for my college, as I chose them and they chose me. I'm still into that, as it goes deeper (IMO) than being from a place.

I dunno.

Also fuck Cam Newton, generally. You fall on fumbles in the Super Bowl. Asshole. You won a championship at Auburn, so evidently they paid him enough.

I'm genuinely curios about the Packers. Last year was a train wreck. It was good for the Bears. But they are the Bears and didn't do anything with it.

What will they be like this year? They still have Rodgers. They have a new coach not named Mike.
