My take on Steve Reich's "Electric Counterpoint" on 8-string guitar

Steve Reich, a founding father of the minimalist movement in modern classical music, wrote a cool piece for electric guitar in 1987 called "Electric Counterpoint." It's meant for one live performer accompanied by a prerecorded track of 12 more guitars and two bass guitars. Pat Metheny recorded the original version.

I just submitted my doctoral applications last month and had to film a bunch of audition videos for it, so I decided to record the whole thing on my 8-string Kiesel Zeus, including the bass parts. The video editing was a bitch.

I’m editing my own paper on Steve Reich while listening to you play Steve Reich.
