Mini Amp - Katana Mini vs. Blackstar Core 10 watt

Howdy,

So I am thinking about a small in size practice amp. I think I am down to either Katana Mini, or the Blackstar Core 10 watt. I also thought of the Blackstar Fly 3, but I think for the extra money there are more features to be had in the Core 10 watt. I don't play metal, but really every other style from time to time.

Anybody played both? Thoughts?

Thanks,

I haven’t played the Core 10, but I do have a Fly Rig 3 as well as the ID:Core Beam (20-watt stereo), and Both are very useful. The Katana mini doesn’t really have much more in terms of features than the Fly Rig (both have delay, the Boss has three tone settings, but the ISF control on the Blackstars probably gives you 90% of that functionality.) I guess between those two (Core 10 and Katana mini) I might pick the Core 10, but I really doubt you’ll regret either.

Bs, Thanks. If I got the Fly 3 I would get the pack w/ ext speaker and power adapter. At that point you are at the same money as the Core 10 . Core v2 also comes with free studio software.
