where's John Carpenter when you need him?

or am I at the wrong pole?

yeah yeah...the brass one, I know

I actually quite enjoyed that :)..though every time Lars does a fill, I get nervous on his behalf. :embarrassed: I should say that despite my dislike of Lars' playing, I'm not a Metallica hater by any means and that one of the best gigs I've ever seen in my life was Metallica at the start of the "..justice for all" tour. They had ridiculous energy and it felt like the crowd and band were totally together.

It's incredible. I know sometimes people can lose a bit of chops as they get older, but a drummer that actually has lost whatever timing he had is baffling.

Yeah, there's definitely a reason that Metallica is a household name. I won't dispute that. It's the utter douchebaggery they display as they get older that makes me wish they'd waned off like an Alzheimer's patient and never come back.

If I was in a band with him, he'd have been sacked a long time ago :embarrassed: I appreciate that he brings a lot to the band as a leader and songwriter/arranger, but his drumming makes me itch.
