I had the original. First effect I ever owned besides a wah. Used to run it in front of my old Peavey, one side into each channel.
Power supply crapped out sometime in the early 90s and I trashed it during a move.
Didnt really miss it, made everything sound like Boston, lol.

One of the weird things to me was that Scholz's/Boston's guitars always sounded like they were trying to cop Brian May's sounds without the breadth, depth, dynamics, and expressiveness. It was always too safe and correct sounding, while Brian had a real voice and painted so many more details than Tom could ever imagine.

It's a very canned sound, one that you seemingly can't really shape. As such, it's not very appealing.
